Bath

Took some pictures of Bath and used them to inspire my current project. Playing with ink and using collaged paper I've roller printed onto.

Sketchbook

At this point I hadn't drawn anything in ages so these pen and inks were my attempt to get back into it.

So I've been a lazy blogger all summer.... This is an attempt to catch up at the start of my final year at uni, before the real work kicks in! I'm aiming to post some of the new things I've been working on each day.
This was another hand drawn poster for a project from last year.

"I don't like standard beauty, there is no beauty without strangeness." - Karl Lagerfeld.

Poster

Experimenting with marker pens and the different effects they can produce. Just some fairly cheap/standard double ended markers with black fineliner.

Pretty good but they do bleed through the paper, really want to try out some quality markers now to compare and see if they are worth the extra pennies....

When I Grow Up I Want To Be....

Printed some calico with a a two colour palm tree design and made these babies, high waisted shorts for all your summer time needs.

Then I got to play fashion stylist/photographer which was the best part!

Thanks to my lovely friend and model Luka for patiently posing against countless walls!

Skaters

Not sure if the colour choice is right, too feminine?
Might try it in a more neutral colour.

Sold my first ever piece of work. A four colour silk screen print on folksy.com. Exciting! There's still one left, I'm listed under Hannah M Moore.

Pattern

One day project, we had to create a design within a square which was silk screen printed. I based mine on Native American Indian patterns. Then more headscratching and "how the hell do I..." in Illustrator to get this 'ere pattern.

Book Cover Designs

It's been a long and painful experience but I think I'm finally starting to get to grips with Photoshop etc...
Developed these for a Penguin competition brief and I'm quite pleased with the end result!

A New Year

" I know from your letters and from seeing you after your play that you feel a little bit lost right now about what to do with your life, a bit rudderless and oarless and aimless but that's okay that's alright because we're all meant to be like that at twenty four. In fact our whole generation is like that. I read an article about it, it's because we never fought in a war or watched too much television or something."
