Acceptable In The 80's

Back in the day (the 80's to be specific) my mum was working as a fashion designer for a swimwear company in Dorset.
Found her portfolio over the summer so I'm putting up some of her working drawings as inspiration.
I really hope that talent is hereditary!

Dripping Down The Wall

I love to work in ink.
The peace symbols took literally five minutes, I hate being too precious and fussy with my work so ink suits me perfectly as you have to work fast and loose.
The best result is a draw between me and the ink, some control but also letting it do what it wants.
Drips and bleeding can work to your advantage!

So I thought it was about time to get me one of these blog things.......
I'm starting off with a fairly basic pen drawing I did during my first year at uni.
The brief was very open, we just had to combine images with hand drawn typography.
The piece became a lot more sinister as it progressed, more so than I had originally intended.

I need to see about trying this as a t shirt print!
